enda-ia celebrates its 20 years !! To celebrate its 20th birthday, enda-ia organised various events that brought together many clients, partners, friends and staff!
 In recognition of enda-ia's 20th anniversaire d’enda-ia, Essma Ben Hamida was invited to meet with His Excellence Mr. President of the Republic Zine El Abidine Ben Ali at his palace in Carthage.  In collaboration with the Agence française de développement and the Institut Arabe des chefs d’entreprise (IACE), enda-ia organised a workshop at the IACE headquarters. The topic of the workshop was "Microfinance: what institutional environment is ideal?". Lawyers and microfinance experts from Tunisia and from abroad took part in the workshop. 
Over the course of two days, enda held a trade show at its headquarters where fifty micro-entrepreneurs who benefit from 'enda' loans sold their products. There were many beautiful handmade items, typical Tunisian dishes to satisfy everyone's appetites and traditional music to dance to!  A gala was held at the cathedral in Carthage that was full of music, testimonies, a film, awards being given and a reception. The atmosphere was festive and the evening was a huge success. 
For our 20th birthday, we received a video message from Melanne Verveer, the United States’ Ambassador-at-large for Global Women’s Issues. In 1999, she accompanied former First Lady Hillary Clinton during her visit to Tunisia and to enda-ia’s headquarters. Unfortunately, she was unable to join us for the celebration, but we are very touched and honored by her kind words and gesture.
