Since our microcredit programme began, enda has been continuously adapting the loan products that we offer in order to better meet the needs of the different segments of our targeted population and to improve the processes of our services. Surveys and studies have been conducted to better understand customers’ needs. This has enabled us to identify ways to improve our products and to create a process for developing such products. One such example is a loan to help with home improvements, 'Eddar', which was launched in 2007. It was created to address a serious problem for vulnerable populations which is the lack of decent housing in their neighbourhoods and their inability to finance the improvements needed. Another new loan, Al Machia, was introduced to finance livestock breeding in rural areas. Enda provides customers with the following benefits: • Branches located within the communities • Prompt services • Simple procedures • Loans adapted to clients’ needs.
Provident fund In case of the death or permanent crippling of a borrower, a Provident fund has been set up. The outstanding loan is written off and an indemnity of 500 TND is also paid to the family.
