Business: Clothes designer Region: Tunis Neziha learnt how to sew in a textile factory. She later decided to change her own fate by starting to make clothes for children. She therefore decided to turn to enda inter-arabe for assistance. Looking back, Neziha comments "the first micro-credit I obtained from enda-ia helped me get out of a crippling (paralyzing) situation and look positively towards a better future."
Neziha shows what a resourceful woman is. She cleverly used her first micro-credit of 300 TND to buy some second hand clothing which she skilfully turned into brand new clothes. “Quality fabrics and accessories are very expensive, she explained, so I buy second hand clothes to obtain fine fabrics and buttons, as well as any other suitable accessory I can find to design and sew new original and beautiful clothes.
My medium term objective is to set up a production line for children's wear that meets international standards and export requirements." She was even selected to take part in the 1st ever trade fair dedicated to female micro-entrepreneurs in Strasbourg (France) where she was able to meet European designers. This experience was just one of the many professional adventures she has had since becoming an enda customer.
